This subseries encompasses Cornish's work as the manager of the aircraft division and as a flight instructor for Aereco Flying Service from 1928 to 1934. Materials include clippings, photographs, and correspondence.
Aeronautics Commission of Indiana, 1945 - 1954
This subseries includes materials related to Cornish's time as the first director of the Aeronautics Commission of Indiana from 1945 to 1953. Included are photographs, clippings, and correspondence. Of note are a desk diary from 1953 and letters of disappointment from friends and colleagues learning of Cornish's replacement as aeronautics director in 1953.

This series includes personal and professional correspondence with family, friends, former students, and colleagues throughout May's extensive career, arranged alphabetically. Photographs found in correspondence remain within the original correspondece and can be found with some.

This series contains miscellaneous materials related to Schleman's tenure at Purdue, including her advocacy for equal rights for women students and faculty. Of particular note are materials that document Schleman's nomination of ten women for President of Purdue in 1970, the Schleman Gold Medallion Award and the 1979 TIAA pension lawsuit.

This series consists of a variety of materials Cornish's daughter, Ruth Ann Ingraham, compiled such as biographical files, photographs, clippings, and materials Ingraham used for research for her publication on her father. The original order of these materials are present, including numbering done by Ingraham for placement of photographs in her book, "'Cap' Cornish, Indiana Pilot, Navigating the Century of Flight."
World War One and Army Reserves, 1917 - 1940
This subseries includes documents, photographs, clippings, artifacts, manuals, and correspondence from Cornish's service in World War One and with the Army Reserves. Artifacts include a military service flag and a sewing kit. Other items of note are correspondence to family during World War One depicting his first flight and the Spanish flu epidemic, photographs and clippings from his early years serving in the military, and a military service flag from World War One.
