Documentation and research notes from twenty personal narratives of Huntington County, Indiana pilots and aviatrixes who flew during the early to mid-twentieth century. The research notes from oral histories were used by Toni Mayo in the compilation of her master’s thesis and book, Defining Flight.

The Vater Family scrapbooks compiled by Septimus Vater and Williamson Dunn Vater primarily contain newspaper clippings related to Indiana politics and elections as well as obituaries and sports analysis from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The collection covers the writing career of Purdue University English professor Richard Voorhees. Materials include manuscripts, articles, book reviews, reprints, author proofs, and correspondence. Voorhees book, The Paradox of George Orwell, was the first publication by Purdue University Studies later known as Purdue University Press. The William Richards collection of Helen Bonny materials (1976-2010; 0.25 cubic feet) continas a photocopy of Bonny's PhD thesis, a photograph (1998), and a photocopy of her obituary.

The Donald E. Williams papers document Williams' two shuttle missions; STS-51-D and STS-34, along with memorabilia from STS-1, the first mission. Also included are various mission patches and decals. The artifacts include his flight helmet, and items used in space; gloves, knife, fork, teaspoon, and can opener.
