Biographical Information

Miss Nugent was born on a Tippecanoe County farm and lived there until she was 10 years old. She graduated from Purdue in 1915, and taught home economics, food work and managed cafeterias in Emerson School, Gary; Indiana State Normal at Muncie and at Terre Haute; operated a mess hall during the World War, and in 1926 took charge of all food work at the Purdue Union Memorial Building. She was also an instructor in Institutional Management at Purdue.
