Scope and Contents

The Glennard Miller scrapbook contains 24 pages of photographs affixed to black paper documenting student life at Purdue in the late 1910s and early 1920s. Images include campus scenes, student activities, sporting events, military band, and steam engine lab, as well as photographs documenting the incident of Harry Weinshank being run off campus by his classmates for repeatedly impersonating a military officer.

Biographical Information

Glennard Earl Miller of Converse, Indiana, graduated from Converse High School in 1914 then enlisted in Purdue University. He left school to serve in World War I, then returned to campus and graduated in 1921 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering.
