James Herron Papers on University Affiliation Program
Materials created about the University Affiliation Program between Purdue University and Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria from 1984 to 1992. It was a professor exchange program held every year from, 1986. The collection includes correspondence between Purdue and Ahamdu Bello, books owned/given to Purdue Professors during their visit to Nigeria, a cap, air tickets of the trip, evaluation reports, funding documents, and other educational materials.

Famous honorary doctorates include Neil Armstrong, Eugene Cernan, Mitch Daniels, A. Leon Higginbotham, Jr., and Darlene Clark Hine.
