Scope and Contents

This series includes materials on the aviation history of Indiana that Cornish was heavily involved in throughout his extensive career. Materials include clippings, photographs, and correspondence related to early Indiana pilots such as Art Smith and Roscoe Turner, the start of Airmail service in Indiana, early airlines and aircrafts, and Indiana airports such as the Paul Baer Municipal Airport (now the Fort Wayne International Airport) and the now defunct Guy Means Airport in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Of note are photographs and clippings related to Cornish's management of the Paul Baer Municipal Airport from 1934 to 1941.
