Alice Rowen Easley was born to Orval Paul Rowen and Ada Ruth Clark Rowen in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 23, 1928. The family later moved to DeMotte, IN, where Alice would attend high school.

After high school, Alice would attend Purdue as a member of the Class of 1951. While at Purdue she would meet her future husband Jack Robert Easley (Class of 1948), who she married on June 12, 1948.

Alice worked as a professional floral designer and crafter, bookkeeper, and long-time newspaper columnist for the Carmel News Journal. She was also the author of two books, "Aunt Alice Says...Notes to a Friend" and "The Adventures of Corky Rabbit".

Alice passed away at her home in Carmel, IN on July 20, 2010.

The papers contain correspondence between President Jischke and Alice Rowen Easley, "Aunt Alice says...," a book by Easley and a picture of Easley's son, Mark, with a picture of the framed note from Jischke, which was a Christmas gift to Alice Easley.
