Biographical Information

Lloyd Alexander was an author of books for children and adults. He wrote numerous fantasy novels and inspired the Disney film, The Black Cauldron. His books have won awards such as the Newberry Medal and Newbery Honor.

This series inculdes pins, magnets, commemorative coins, artwork, gifts, and other objects May had on display in her office or received throughout her career. One photograph in series six shows some of these items on display in May's office. Of note is an autographed illustration by Lloyd Alexander and Lester Abrams and a hand-painted cel from the Weston Woods Studios production of "Patrick" from 1973.
