Biographical Information

Maurice Thompson was an author of the late 19th century whose works focused on life in Indiana and the American South. Thompson was born in Fairfield, Indiana, before moving to Georgia as a child. He served in the Confederate Army during the U.S. Civil War before returning to Indiana in adulthood.
