Biographical Information

Etheridge "Eth" Baugh was a longtime leader of the Purdue Alumni Association. Baugh, a native of Lafayette, graduated from Purdue University in 1923 with a B.S. in Agriculture. He worked as an agricultural agent for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad and a county agricultural agent for Ohio State University, during which time he served as president of the Purdue Club of Columbus, Ohio. He was named executive secretary of the Purdue Alumni Association in 1935 and served that organization in various senior roles, including editor-in-chief of the Purdue Alumnus, until his retirement in 1969. Baugh was active in national alumni organizations, including serving as director of the American Alumni Council and president of the Big Ten Alumni Directors.
