Biographical Information

Judith Kay Pounds Sindlinger is a Purdue alumnae (Ed.D, 1966) who went on to earn a doctorate in Education and become a director of student services in universities across the United States.

Pounds started at Purdue University in the Fall of 1962 and graduated in June 1966 with a major in Physical Education and a minor in Recreation. In her freshman year, Pounds became a charter member of the Alpha Phi Sorority which started on campus that same year. While at Purdue, Pounds was also a member of the Purdue Majorettes, Angel Flight air force auxiliary, Green Guard, Major-Minor club, Gold Peppers, and was elected as a Panhellenic Senator to the student senate. Pounds also hosted Senator Birch Bayh when he visited campus for the Old Master's program.

After graduation, Pounds earned a Master of Education from Miami University and a Doctorate of Education from Indiana University. She pursued a career in higher education as a director of student services in universities across the United States and has received numerous awards for her work advising students.
