Goldsborough, Winder Elwell

Biographical Information

Winder Goldsborough was born in Baltimore on October 10, 1871. He attended Wrights' University School, Baltimore, and Cornell University, where he earned an M.E. in 1892.

He worked as an electrical engineer in industry, including at the Colliery Engineer Company, Edison Electrical Illuminating Company, and the St. Louis Exposition. He also taught electrical engineering at the University of Arkansas from 1893 to 1894 and at Purdue University from 1894 to 1904. He then moved to Colorado and held leadership positions at the Denver Reservoir Irrigation Company, Laramie Water Company, and eventually his own Goldsborough Company.
