Historical Information

The Aeronautics Commission of Indiana was formed after the Aeronautics Commission Act was passed on March 28, 1945 and the need for management of improvements and expansion of Indiana's growing aviation industry. Clarence F. Cornish became the commission's first director on July 5, 1945.
