Biographical Information

Charles John Bohrer graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1876, the only member of his graduating class and second ever graduate from the university. In 1878 he was granted a degree of Analytical Chemist. His thesis entitled “Beer and Its Physiological Effects” was the first thesis accepted by Purdue University. Bohrer later moved to Winthrop Beach, Massachusetts. He died February 20, 1918.
