Biography

The United States Department of Agriculture States Relations Service was put into action in 1864 by Abraham Lincoln. He called it "The People's Depatment."

Abstract

Records including a petition (undated) on behalf of the Indiana State Board of Education, a booklet (1905) containing a general history of Cornell University, a booklet (1921) containing the proceedings of a conference held at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign on the relations between the federal government and higher education, and pamphlets (1911-1916) outlining government laws and regulations pertaining to agricultural colleges and experiment stations.
