 Organization

Historical Information

The Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) Tower is located on the Purdue University Airport, southwest of Hangar No. 4. The tower is 68 feet tall and was built for control operations and to be used as an instructional and research facility for training in control tower operations. The building was funded by the federal government and was expected to cost $200,000. Before the permanent tower was built, a temporary mobile tower was proposed to only be used on Saturdays when home football games were played.
