Historical Information

The Center for Paralysis Research was previously known as the Veterinary Metabolic Disease Laboratory. It was built as part of a large construction project to create multiple buildings to be used for the school of Veterinary Science and Medicine. The total cost of constructing the Veterinary Medicine buildings was $5,485,000. This building was devoted to the study of physiological disorders and was renamed the Center for Paralysis Research in 1987.
