Historical Information

The Purdue Glider Club was formed in 1932 and competed in its first Intercollegiate Glider Meet in Indianapolis in 1935. Its purpose was to help students learn how to fly and build gliders. At some point in the later 20th century, the club was disbanded. By 2014, the Glider Club was to be reinstated as the Soaring Club.
